Tamanishiki short grain brown rice was developed using Koshihikari rice. It has an excellent flavor and delicate texture. Like Tamanishiki rice, Tamanishiki brown rice is grown and harvested in the fertile soil of California.

It is a good source of dietary fiber and additional vitamins and minerals not found in white rice. Enjoy plain or use for "healthy" Sushi.

Instructions

Cooking: Combine 1 cup Tamanishiki Brown Rice and 2 cups water in medium saucepan. Bring to a soft boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 35 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand covered 10 minutes before serving. Make about 2.5 cups cooked rice. Note: If using electric rice cooker, follow the cooking directions by rice cooker manufacturer. When cooking is complete, let rice stand 10 minutes before serving.
